The last 12 months have been quite a ride for all of us and so many things have been highlighted during these unusual times. For some; old thoughts, patterns ideas and interest have fallen away as well as relationships with others. This can feel quite daunting and make you feel alone, sad and even hopeless. You may feel lost, defeated and uncertain. These times are shaking things up and it is now the perfect time to go within, look at yourself and welcome change.
Please be gentle with yourself, you are NOT broken or crazy. You are simply waking up to the idea that there is much more to life and that everything is not as it seems. I can emphasise with you, as I know the world is tough and incredibly challenging to live in when you can see and feel what is going on beneath the surface.
During these last 12 months I turned to a very heavy meditation regime – meditating up to 3 hours a day during the strictest lockdown restrictions. This helped me stay centred and focused on my own internal world and not focused on the external. Don’t worry, I am not saying that you need to meditate for 3 hours a day – this was simply what worked for me. It helped me in building a deeper connection with my higher self for that I am eternally grateful!
As you may know, we can only control our own thoughts, feelings, emotions and reactions. If we are constantly looking outside of ourselves, we will become disappointed as certain things are out of our control. So, don’t be afraid to look within and explore yourself on a deeper level. Be still, take some deep breaths, be present and just allow any emotions to flow through. Who knows, you may even uncover some hidden treasures or pearls of wisdom. Most importantly, be kind to yourself – the journey within is not an easy one but the rewards you will reap along the way are incredible.
